retaliation?
ok, not going to make this a long out thought process like my previous posts. Just going to ask a simple question and statement and leave it at that.
This scare with the bagged spinach, is this the Canadians way of getting back at the Americans for the whole Mad Cow Disease and all? USA closes the border on cows, hurts cattlers in Canada, Canadian beef takes a downfall. Now, us Canadians want revenge so suddenly the 'spinach ban' comes around? This must show how bad us Canadians are when it comes to vengeful acts and being a bully. The Americans shoot their presidents, have massive civil wars and impeach their presidents. Canadians attack their Prime Ministers either in their homes (and get fended off with Inuit carvings) or on the street (and the PM throttles the guy instead), we have minor skirmishs in the streets (which usually ends up with the offending party just buying a round of beers and all is well in Canada) and instead of impeaching our Prime Minister if he screws up we just politely ask him to leave office and, if you are so kind, leave the fridge of beer behind thanks*G*
Somehow I am proud to be Canadian cause we are just a bunch of nice guys here, but on the flip side I am also a little ashamed. Sort of like how you are hanging out with a really great guy and let's say that guy is Canada. Friendly, courteous, always leaves big tips and never says a bad thing about anyone. Suddenly he gets into a bar and a rude obnoxious guy comes up and starts to pick on him, and I mean laying in some really great insults and burns that make your head spin and you actually think "wow, that was funny in a cruel sort of way". Then your friend stands tall, gathers all his evil wit inside him and comes back with the retort of "yeah, well your nose is BIG!" Then, you shake your head and slowly slink out of the bar so as not to be seen with the guy*G*

You are 'Canadian'? Ex-S'porean? Are you one of Goh's 'quitters'? Hahaha. No insult intended.
I've never been to Canada. My strongest impression of Canada is in the Southpark movie when USA attacked Canada to re-claim it. I know it's a stereotype, but that's how we all make sense of our world, isn't it?
